April Bertaux is host of “Lullaby of Broadway.” When she is not writing and producing her shows, she is studying history education and theatre, and is excited to have just added mass communications in as a minor.

She spends great amounts of time reading regency romances, watching British comedy and doing entirely too much daydreaming. April also serves as Promotions Manager for WEHC, and when she is at home in Barboursville, VA; she works as a Historical Interpreter (tour guide) at James Madison‘s Montpelier.

Show tunes are her favorite type of music, and two years ago she started “Lullaby of Broadway” because she’s always wanted a show tunes show on the radio--and if you want something done right….

The Lee Highway Review
Host: Barrow Wheary
Roots Music / Old-time / Blues

Barrow transferred to Emory & Henry from the College of William & Mary in the fall of 2008. He is currently working towards a degree in English and independently pursuing a career in music.

Banjo and fiddle music was an especially memorable part of Barrow’s childhood. Over the years, his love for old time and roots music has only grown, as has his collection of early recordings. The Lee Highway Review delivers one full hour of hardcore roots music featuring old time, blues, jug band, the occasional Nick Cave song or Sex Pistols cameo, and more from the land of hog and hominy, punkin and possum, where whiskey is made out of corn, and the women don’t smell like talcum powder.
