Prospective transfer students must complete these steps and also submit to the Emory & Henry Financial Aid Office, no later than April 1, financial aid transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended. (Currently enrolled students receive a mailing each year from the Financial Aid Office with instructions on application procedures for the following year.) By mid-December: Obtain a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from any high school guidance office or college financial aid office. As soon as possible after January 1 and no later than February 15: Submit the completed FAFSA to Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Indicate that results are to be sent to Emory & Henry College. (Students who meet the February 15 deadline are likely to hear from the Emory & Henry Financial Aid Office by May 1.) As early as possible in the senior year of high school and no later than February 15: Apply for admission to Emory & Henry and complete all admissions materials. No student will be considered for financial aid until he or she has been accepted for admission to the college. Admission forms and information may be obtained by writing or calling the Admissions Office. By April 15: Submit all other required financial aid forms to the Emory & Henry Financial Aid Office. The required forms are the E&H Financial Aid Application and a signed copy of the previous year’s federal tax forms for both the parents and the student. (In final decisions about financial aid awards, preference is given to students who meet the April 1 deadline. After that date, funds become more limited.) By July 31: Submit to Emory & Henry’s Financial Aid Office the completed application for Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (TAG).
