Accreditation and memberships Emory & Henry College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; telephone number 404-679-4501) to award Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. It is also accredited by the University Senate of The United Methodist Church. Emory & Henry holds institutional membership in the Association of American Colleges, the American Council on Education, the National Association of Schools and Colleges of The United Methodist Church, the Appalachian College Association, the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia, the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Division III). The teacher preparation programs are accredited under the approved approach of the Commonwealth of Virginia. |
