Athletics The college offers varsity intercollegiate competition for men in football, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, cross country, and golf; women compete in basketball, volleyball, softball, tennis, cross country, and soccer. Many other sports are covered through interest clubs and intramural competition. To be eligible for participation in varsity athletics, an individual must be enrolled as a full-time degree-seeking student and must not be on academic or disciplinary probation. Additional eligibility requirements, as well as regulations for the overall athletic program, are prescribed by the college faculty and the athletic association in which Emory & Henry holds membership, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Division III). Emory & Henry College competes according to NCAA Division III guidelines and makes no special allowances for student athletes in areas of recruitment, admission, or financial aid. The same policies which apply to all students will be exercised in the case of student athletes. |
