Advisement

Academic advisement is an important part of the relationship between faculty and students. All students are assigned an individual faculty advisor prior to or immediately after enrolling for their first semester. In addition to schedule planning and course selection, faculty advisors assist students in defining their academic goals and developing plans to achieve those goals. Faculty advisors help students to understand the educational program and meet its requirements, interpret the course schedule, and register for each semester; advisors also deal with academic problems as they arise. Counseling is available to all students who are experiencing academic concerns.
