Transfer students

A prospective transfer student should submit the following: the basic application form including a personal essay; official transcripts from all colleges previously attended; the College Transfer Reference Form completed and signed by an official at the most current institution; and a $30 application fee. At its discretion, the Committee on Admissions may request other data such as college entrance test scores.

Prior to enrolling at Emory & Henry, transfer students have the right to review a formal evaluation of transfer credits, class standing and work remaining for graduation. Policies on accepting transfer credit are described in the catalog section on Academic Policies.

Emory & Henry recognizes the following degree programs of the Virginia Community College System and will accept for admission any student who has graduated from a Virginia community college with an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in one of the following programs: Business Administration, Education, General Studies, Liberal Arts, and Science.

Based on cumulative GPA at the college(s) previously attended, a transfer student may be eligible for a merit scholarship from Emory & Henry. Information is available upon request from the Admissions Office.
