General education requirements

At the heart of Emory & Henry’s curriculum is a series of courses deemed so important to a liberal arts education that the faculty have established them as curricular requirements for all students. Through these courses, students encounter a variety of fields of learning; confront topics which arise from the arts, literature, and the Christian tradition; develop responses to questions of values; and seek to understand their social and political responsibilities. The college has spread its general education courses across four years, making the subject matter responsive to students’ intellectual growth.
